i decided to write this for the MMX project simply because i knew so little about the music of the MMX series, and i wanted more exposure to it. i had also (literally) just gotten Shreddage, and decided to see what i could do with it. i wanted to do something in mixed meter, and 7/8 seemed to fit the solo parts really well. there is almost nothing original in this song - the entirety was taking almost directly from the MIDI and adapted to the time signature.
